This Cookies Policy refers exclusively to the company website and must be understood as an integral part of the Privacy Policy shown on the same website.

Cookies are small text files the websites visited by the user send and record on his/her computer or mobile device, to be then retransmitted to the same websites at the next visits.

Thanks to the cookies, a website remembers the user's actions and preferences (such as login data, chosen language, font size, other display settings, and so on), so that they do not have to be re-inserted when the user returns to visit the website or browse from one page to another.

Cookies, therefore, are used to perform computer authentication, monitoring sessions and storing information regarding the activities of users accessing a site, and may also contain a unique identification code that allows You to track the user's navigation within the site itself for statistical or advertising purposes.

During navigation on a website, the user can also receive on his/her computer or mobile device website or web server cookies other than the one he/she is visiting (commonly referred to as "third party" cookies).

Some operations could not be performed without the use of cookies, which in some cases are therefore technically necessary for the functioning of the website itself.

There are various types of cookies, depending on their features and functions, and these can remain in the user's computer or mobile device for different periods of time:

  • they are known as session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed;
  • there are also persistent cookies, which remain on the user's device until a predetermined expiry date

According to the legislation in force in Italy, the user's express consent is not always required for the use of cookies. In particular, "technical cookies", for example those used for the sole purpose of transmitting a communication through an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user, do not require such consent.

In other words, these are cookies that are essential for the operation of the website or necessary to perform activities requested by the user.

Among technical cookies, which do not require an express consent for their use, the Italian Data Protection Authority (see Determination of the simplified procedures for information and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies 'May 8, 2014, hereinafter only "Ruling") also includes:

  • browsing or session cookies (for users authentication);

  • "cookie analytics" when used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the website;
  • functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchasing) in order to improve the service provided.

For "profiling cookies", vice versa, for example those aimed at creating profiles related to the user and used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user when surfing the net, a prior consent by the user is required.

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the website acquire, during their normal operations, some technical data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but for its own nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the website, the addresses provided by the Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the file size obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, error, and so on) and other parameters related to the type of browser used.

These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to check its correct functioning and are deleted after processing. The data could be used to identify responsibility in case of hypothetical computer crimes against the website.

Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. It is possible to disable the storage of cookies in the browser. It is also possible to delete cookies already stored in your computer. You can use the "Help" function of Your browser for more information on how to do this.
